Jindie Nails Spam! Including New Release Pretty Penny

We have SNOW here in the UK! That means the country comes to a stand still and I get lots of time to swatch pretties :-)

Tonight I have one of Jindies new releases Pretty Penny to show you. Plus Purple Rain-bow and Got Glitter? for your viewing pleasure!

Pretty Penny

To be 100% honest this polish is definitely not something that I would have bought myself. The colours in the description of the polish and the swatch photos put me off. I do not ever wear these colours, rose, copper and gold don't normally suit me at all.

However Pretty Penny was sent to me by Jen for review and I can say with my hand on my heart that I'm so glad she did, I'm utterly shocked to say I love this combination of colours! That's one of the best things about reviewing polish, I get sent things that are sometimes out of my comfort zone and find out that I can actually carry them off.

Pretty Penny is a combination of a coppery pink shimmer/micro flakie base which seems to colour shift to gold in some lights, with pink and gold circle glitters and masses of other sized hex and square glitter in bronze, copper, gold and raspberry. The formula is perfect, one coat is all you need to get the coverage you see here and it could be built to full coverage in three coats.

Here i have layered one coat of Pretty Penny over a base of Illamasqua Load (the best creme cream out there!) and topped it off with one coat of Seche Vite. The glitters lay really flat so no faffing with Gelous and other thick top coats to get a smooth finish.

Purple Rain-bow

Purple Rain-bow is a delicate silvery lavender polish with a shimmer that shows in normal light and a light scattered holo effect in strong light. It could be classed as a work appropriate holographic polish because its so delicate.

The formula was once again perfect, its fast drying and covers in two coats. It dries to a satin finish so a topcoat is needed for a glossy finish, this doesn't affect the holographic pigment.

The swatches here show two coats of Purple Rain-bow and one coat of Seche Vite.

Got Glitter?

Got Glitter? is a holographic glitter bomb with glitters in all different shapes and colours. Its such a total beauty and sparkle? This polish sparkles to the moon and back!

I'm now going to say what you "shouldn't" say but this polish beats the crap out of Lynnderella's Shape Shifter!

The swatches here show two coats of Got Glitter? over a white base. There's a lot of glitter in this polish so there are no problems with having to fish around to get the good stuff. I topped this mani with one coat of Gelous and two coats of Seche Vite as the stars are a little pit prickly.
