KBShimmer No Whine Left

Welcome to the final instalment of my KBShimmer showcase! Tonight I have No Whine Left to show you.

No Whine Left is a deep reddish maroon crelly (creme/jelly) base with varying sizes of blue and pink hex glitters. This is the most unusual polish of the four that I received, I've not seen this combination of colours put together before but they really compliment each other.

The application was easy with full coverage at three coats. It does dry a little bumpy so I added two coats of Gelous and a coat of Poshe to smooth it out.

Don't forget that the new collection from KBShimmer goes on sale TOMORROW!! For those of you in the States you can buy directly from KBShimmer and for you international girls buy from Harlow & Co. Happy shopping ;-) xx

KBShimmer Don't Teal Anyone and Oh Splat!

Following on from yesterdays post on Jack tonight I have yet more of the new KBShimmer collection to share with you.

Don't Teal Anyone

Don't Teal Anyone is a dusty, smokey teal crelly (jelly/creme) base with various sizes of pink, blue and gold hex glitter and a smattering of pink mini bar glitter. The polish covered well in three coats and didn't need any undies to be opaque.

The swatches here show three coats of Don't Teal Anyone followed by two coats of Gelous and one coat of Poshe.

Oh Splat!

It was love at first sight with this polish. Oh Splat! is a white crelly based polish packed with multicoloured multi-sized he glitter. The glitters appear to be suspended in the polish and the crelly base is just the right constancy to allow the lower layers to show through. Underwear is not needed for this polish as it reached opacity in three coats and allows the multi-dimensional look.

The swatches here show three coats of Oh Splat! followed by a coat of Poshe.

KBShimmer Jack

Today I received a very special parcel containing some of the new KBShimmer autumn colours. I immediately took off my current polish and grabbed Jack!

Jack is a black jelly based polish with various sizes of bright orange hex glitter, tiny orange bar glitter and some black glitter thrown in for good spooky measure! I decided to layer this over a black base as it is a little sheer, so I used Cult Nails Nevermore and then layered two coats of Jack over the top to get the full effect of the glitters suspended in the jelly.

The black jelly allows various shades of orange to show through giving this polish a really multi layered interesting look. I topped this off with two coats of Gelous as Jack dries a little rough and then a coat of A England The Shield.

This polish is a MUST have for Halloween!

See how the black jelly allows different shades of orange to peep through, the jelly makes the glitter look like its floating.

This is the first of the new KBShimmer polishes I'll be showing you this week so stay tuned for more!

The new collection will be released on 1 September 2012 and will be available at KBShimmer directly for USA customers and for international delivery go to Katie at Harlow & Co. There are also KBShimmer Facebook and Harlow &Co Facebook pages where you can get up to the minute updates on the release of these fabulous polishes!

Estee Lauder Smashed

Hey Hussies sorry I haven't bloged in a while but the blog sale took up a lot more time and was a greater success than I ever expected it to be. Thank you all for your support :-)

Today I have one of my favourite polishes to show you. I blame the purchase of this polish entirely on my friend Hannah who sent me a text to tell me about the new Estee Lauder polish she had. She knows I have a weakness for raspberry/purples and sparkles the evil temptress!

This is Smashed, a deep raspberry purple with beautiful inner sparkles that look blue and purple depending on what light you are under. This is one of the very few polishes that I have worn for an entire week (that's how much I love it) and by golly does it wear well, no chipping or peeling and only slight tip wear after four days. I have also worn it on more than one occasion which really is unheard of for me!

The swatches here show two coats of Smashed followed by a coat of Poshe. I will now spam you with photos because I just couldn't narrow them down any more than I have!

W7 Mosaic

The third instalment of Brit week is W7 Mosaic. I already have Nails Inc Pudding Lane but when I saw Mosaic I had to do a double take, its an exact dupe for a fraction of the price! I have popped a photo of Pudding Lane on for you to see a comparison. Remember Nails Inc = £11.00 and W7 = £1.95.

Mosaic is a mixture of blue and gold glitters in a turquoise crelly base. It dries a little gritty but is smoothed with Gelous and Poshe. The finish is exactly the same as Pudding Lane although it takes three coats of Mosaic to get full coverage, but for £1.95 I'm not complaining!

W7 Lava Flow and Salt n Pepper

Continuing on with my Brit week i have two W7 polishes for you. These were a total steal at just £1.95 a bottle and they reminded me of the Nails Inc Sprinkles range. These polishes are indie styles that are easy to get in the UK and at a very good price!

Lava Flow

Lava Flow is a white crelly base packed with red and black glitters. The glitters take on a milky, matte appearance as the white crelly base covers them. This polish gives a multi layered effect and covers fully in three coats. It dries a little gritty but its nothing that cant be solved with a coat of Gelous and a coat of Poshe.

W7 Lava Flow

Salt n Pepper

Salt n Pepper has the exact same formulation as Lava Flow except the glitter is just black. The multi layered effect makes the black glitter look different shades of black, grey and in some lights almost navy blue.

L'Oreal Magic Croisette

It has occurred to me that I hardly ever post about polish that can be brought simply in a store in the UK, so I decided to hit Boots (a large chemist/health & beauty chain store) and see what I could find! This week I will be focusing on polishes that can be purcahsed in the UK :-)

This little beauty by L'Oreal caught my eye immediately. I have no idea why its called Magic Croisette, it's a seriously pointless name, but oh the colour is glorious!

This polish is a blue/teal shade that is almost a duochrome, with a strong teal/greeny shimmer. If I were to compare it to an indie brand I'd say it looks similar to Girly Bits Cosmic Ocean but not as strong in the duochorme department. I have added a photo of Cosmic Ocean layered over a black base to give you a comparison.

The formula was easy to work with, although the brush was a little wide for my liking, its like the OPI Pro Wide brushes and I find them a bit wide for my nail bed. The swatches here show three coats of Magic Croisette followed by a coat of Poshe.

CrowsToes Bunny Slope/Angel Paint

I have a new number one indie brand! I have utterly fallen in love with CrowsToes polishes, a few weeks ago I'd never heard of them and now I just cant get enough!

Tonight's offering is Bunny Slope and its gorgeous. Bunny slope is a mixture of tiny white matte glitter and iridescent/holographic glitter speckled amongst the white. The application is good, here I layered two coats of Bunny Slope over one coat of piCture pOlish White Wedding and it covered really well, if you didnt want to layer it you could have full coverage in three coats. Bunny Slope dries a little gritty but nothing that can't be solved with a coat of Gelous and a couple of coats of Poshe.

Its been sunny here in the UK and I haven't been able to take my eyes off my fingers! The iridescent/holo glitters catch the light beautifully. If there is one white glitter polish you must buy this year make it this one!!

Macro heaven!

CrowsToes polishes are available at Llarowe and Overall Beauty. CrowsToes also have a brilliant blog called The Polished Crow.

I can honestly say hand on heart that a new love affair has started for me... :-D

Candeo Jellybean

Evenin' all hows everyone doing? Did anyone score anything from the Llarowe restock tonight? I thought to celebrate the big restock I'd feature my new favourite yellow polish Jellybean by Candeo.

I am the first to admit that most yellow polish isn't flattering on my skin, but Jellybean has such a buttery soft yellow that its an easy colour to wear. Its one of those polishes that people hesitate on because its yellow but ill tell you this, a couple of weeks ago I had three bottles of Jellybean and I am now down to one! The first one was brought for me by my dear friend Laura and that has remained in my personal stash, then my lovely friend Emily sent me a bottle which my mom nabbed almost immediately and the third bottle I purchased myself for my 500 follower giveaway.

Jellybean is a soft yellow crelly polish that is packed with pink, gold, and green mini glitter and then scattered with medium sized blue, pink and purple hex glitter. The whole look reminds me of an Easter egg.

The application is smooth but it does take a little manipulation to get the medium hex glitter where you want it to be. For these swatches I wore three coats of Jellybean, followed by one coat of Gelous and one coat of Poshe.

Candeo polishes can be purchased directly from their store or from Leah Ann at Llarowe and you can get details on restocks and new polishes on both the Candeo Facebook page and the Llarowe Facebook page.
