Dollish Polish This Is Halloween Collection Part 1

Whooooooop Whoooooop we just hit 1000 followers!!!! I have a MASSIVE giveaway planned to celebrate and thank you all for your support so keep your eyes peeled for more info on that soon :-)

Today I have the first instalment of the new Dollish Polish This Is Halloween Collection for you. This is a super scary and super cute collection of eight new polishes based on Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas which is one of Dolly's favourite films.

Vampires Coven

Vampires Coven is a vampy blackened jelly base chock full of red and burgundy glitter in various shapes and sizes. It just glows from within and I had lots of compliments when I wore it.

This polish is comparable to Lynnderellas Very Pretty Vampire but I think it's much deeper and complex, so if VPV is a lemming of yours fill it with the superior Vampires Coven!

The formula is thin but buildable to opacity in three to four coats, and the glitter disperses evenly over the nail. For the swatches I chose to layer it over one coat of Cult Nails Quench and topped it off with a coat of Lynnderella Glitter Tamer and one coat of Seche Vite.

Here you can see the vast array of shapes and colours of the glitters

There is also some micro glitter which you can see in this shot that really makes the polish sparkle!

We're Simply Meant To Be

This is an eclectic mix of various size gold, cobalt blue and burgundy hex glitters along with some chunkier black square glitter suspended in a clear base. The clear base makes it perfect for layering over any colour and for these swatches I chose OPI Dutch Ya Just Love OPI? which really made the blue glitter pop!

The glitter lays flat to the nail so I only used Seche Vite as a top coat.

Spot the large black square glitter!

I'm The Boogie Man

This is such a fun Halloween polish, its a, well what can I say, its a snot green colour that leans slightly pale gold with a shimmer to it that makes the texture look slimy lol! Within the slimy base there is lots of multi-hued green glitter in lots of different sizes, and I do believe I detected a sprinkle of holographic micro glitter.

The formulation is perfect with full opacity in three coats and once again it dries fairly flat to the nail so only a coat of Seche Vite was needed as a top coat.

I'm taking this blurred shot as confirmation that there is indeed holographic micro-glitter.
Look at the pretty sparkles! :-)

There will be more from this collection over the next couple of days so stay tuned because you're not going to want to miss the others!
